ReplyDeleteOne of the repeated comments I hear is that we should not try to compare quantitative research with qualitative research. This leads to one being cast as better than the other.
"The distinction between quantitative and qualitative studies is not nearly as important as the distinction between qualitative studies, which recognize the reflexive nature of social phenomena, and those that don't."(Heyman p. 70
